COUNCIL INFORMATION
Our council is dedicated to giving back to our community and parish, while building a community of Catholic men, through works of charity, faith, and fraternity. Our regular activities include preparing food once a month for a local homeless shelter, organizing the weekly “Coffee Hour” program after the 10:00 AM Mass, assisting in the upkeep of parish grounds, coordinating the annual Christmas Giving Tree, and hosting tours and events for pilgrims to St. Mary Parish.
In addition to our general meetings, we host a number of fraternal events and activities for our members and their families.
ABOUT KNIGHT OF COLUMBUS
As a member of St. Mary’s Knights of Columbus council, you’re also part of something much larger: a worldwide organization of over 1.9 million Catholic men who share your values and beliefs. Founded in 1882 by Venerable Father Michael J. McGivney, an assistant pastor of St. Mary’s here in New Haven, the Knights of Columbus remains true to its founding principles of charity, unity, and fraternity and is one of the largest Catholic fraternal organizations in the world. Following in Fr. McGivney’s vision of providing care for widows and orphans, the Order also provides top-rated life insurance for its members and their families, with over $100 billion of protection in force.
